For a wider and complete shopping experience, Al Ain Mall added more than 135 new stores under its umbrella within its expansion officially opened on the 29th of November, 2011. AL AIN – City’s premier shopping destination Al Ain Mall announced the winner of Mercedes car after the raffle draw conducted on January 7 at Al Ain Mall in the presence of a representative from the Department of Economic Development, Al Ain Municipality.

Eisa Jamal Mohammed from Al Ain was declared as the lucky winner.  This was the first draw of Al Ain Mall’s mega campaign titled “10 years of success” offering 10 Mercedes 2012 cars every 40 days.

The opening of Al Ain Mall’s new extension was done on 29th November, 2011 by H.E. Sheikh Hamed Bin Ahmed Al Hamed, MD and CEO of Al Farida Investments Company, owners of Al Ain Mall.

The extension, a Mall in itselfwas declared open and dedicated to the Nation and people of UAE as a gift on its 40th National Day.

The special function organized in Al Ain Mall was graced by the presence of VIPs, heads of companies, representatives from government departments, Retailers, and great gathering of visitors.

Celebrations started at 7:00 PM with musical bands, international circus & Emirati traditional performances. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Morhaf Kishi, General Manager of Al Ain Mall, expressed his gratitude and appreciations to all the stakeholders who participated and made this ambitious project a reality.

This was followed by the ribbon cutting by Sheikh Hamed Al Hamed to add a new phase to Al Ain Mall’s success journey. All the invited guests joined Sheikh Hamed and Al Ain Mall management in a tour around the new extension where they were welcomed with music and performances at each point, starting from Emirati Ayala and Harbeyya, Jordanian and Palestinian Dabka, Syrian Arada, and Egyptian dances.

ABU DHABI – The expansion of Al Ain Mall, the biggest shopping centre in Abu Dhabi’s garden city will be opened to customers on November 29 to mark the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the Federation.

Al Farida Investments Company – owners of Al Ain Mall called the landmark shopping project as “a gift” of the National Day.

At a meeting in Al Ain, Morhaf Kishi, General Manager of Al Ain Mall said the mega mixed use project was planned in two phases; phase one of which is completed and will be opened on the November 29, 2011.

This will add more than 135 outlets which include an array of leading regional and international fashion brands; restaurants and cozy Cafés.

The architecture of the new extension reflects the rich UAE tradition inside and out. Striking angular façade, wide and cool corridors, transparent central atriums giving way to the natural skylight and the classical décor make Al Ain Mall one of the foremost tourist destinations in Al Ain.  The shopping facility has the huge car parking to accommodate 3000 cars,  a large man-made lake on the second floor surrounded by retail outlets, restaurants & cafes; an outdoor shopping pavilion besides amazing water fountains & décor.

Second phase of the project, set to complete by the third quarter of 2013, will add another 80 more retail outlets in addition to the 5 star deluxe hotel, open outdoor area, entertainment avenues and artificial lake on the second floor.

In the retail category, besides the new anchors Sharaf DG, Paris Gallery  and iconic, celebrated brands like H&M, Karen Millen, Juicy Couture, Carolina Herrera, Gizia, McGregor, Victoria’s secret, Faces, Tanagra, Swarovski, L’Occitane, Body & Bath Works, Jennyfer, Elite, List, Paris Hilton, Cocoon, CocoRibon, Mont Blanc, Rivoli, Rolex, Agatha, Pandora, Eros, Istore, Folli Follie, are also added, to name a few.

Whereas in F&B category, Al Ain Residents are lucky to get some of their all-time favorite such as Shakespeare & Co., Fuddruckers, Chili’s, Bricco Café, Hediard Café, Caribou Coffee, Alison Nelson’s Chocolate Bar, Costa Coffee, Café Beanery, Al Foah-Zadina & Patchi.

Al Ain Mall launches breast cancer awareness campaign

In collaboration with Abu Dhabi-Health Authority and Angels of Mercy support group, Al Ain Mall has organized a one week long breast cancer awareness campaign under the name ‘We Will Survive’.  Highlight of the campaign was of course the Walkathon and full day program held on Friday, 28th Oct 2011.

 

The walkathon was a big success as more than 1500 people from all walks of life supported the cause and took part in the event.  It may not be out of place to mention here that all the funds raised through the walkathon goes to Friends of Cancer Society to be utilized for their fight against Breast Cancer.Besides individual supporters, people turned out in groups from eminent companies, schools, and institutes as well.  The very fact that such a huge crowd gathered at the mall’s main entrance at 8 AM on a lazy Friday morning shows their genuine concern and commitment to support this noble cause.  Presence of Dr. Jamal Al Kabbi, Director of Customer Care and Corporate Communication from Abu Dhabi Health Authority,  Mr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Head of Red Crescent Al Ain Branch & Mr. Morhaf Kishi, General Manager of Al Ain Mall added the much required enthusiasm among the members.The walkathon started from Al Ain Mall at 8:30 AM with energetic troops of people dancing on African drumming rhythms. The route of 2.5 km was covered easily with Al Ain Police facilitating the flow of the walk.  Al Noor Hospital & NMC Hospitals extended their support by providing the ambulances and by setting up emergency counters on the way with specialized nurses/medical services.This was followed by several activities and events in Al Ain Mall including kids art workshops, stage activities and games, drumming communities, and informative lectures on breast cancer by oncology specialist doctors and professors.  The experts shared helpful information on the topic like importance of early detection, checkups and the role of surgery. Participants also got the opportunity to learn from the experience of Breast Cancer Survivors through interactive talks.

The talent shows, musical performances and the magical fashion show by breast cancer survivors were well received by the eager audience.  The fashion show started at 8:00 PM with 10 ladies from different backgrounds and ages proudly ascended on the stage to show their elegance and enthusiasm while displaying beautiful dresses sponsored by Al Ain Mall’s leading fashion outlets.

Walking confidently on the specially prepared ramp, the Ladies shared their experience with the audience on their fights against breast cancer. By conducting such a complete program, Al Ain Mall not only proved its social commitment but also reiterated the fact that it is indeed an integral part of people’s lives.
